80’s style clothing for church dance?

I’m going to a church dance Saturday. They said dress 80’s style but no one ever does so me and a few of my friends decided to. We don’t want to look ridiculous since everyone else will look normal but we also want it to be obvious we’re dressing up.
I have straight legged jeans but thats about all the 80’s style clothing I have… So what kind of top should I wear? Everyone is saying bright tops but I’m scared I’ll get pit stains :/ lol
What should I do with my hair? It’s naturally curly and that’s how I usually wear it but it can be straightened and stuff so I can pretty much have whatever kind of hair I like.
Make up? Leg warmers? What kind jewelry?
p.s. our tops have to cover the shoulder and our bottoms have to hit our knee.

wear your hair in a side pony with a scruchie or straighten it and then try crimping it!
you can wear stretch pants with leg warmers and a bright top and tie a side not in it. if it starts to bare your stomach then wear a tank underneath.
You need to wear A bright top, like a pink zebra top. Pair it with colorful legging, and cut off jeans. Legwarmers, and black high tops!
This would work great!!
