Box of glass blowing equipment and glass
In this video I go through a box of glass blowing equipment. My torch hoses and regulators are inside. Also a bunch of miscellaneous glass is found within the box as well. I am fianally to the point where I am ready to set up my torch, and run my hoses to the regulators and tanks.
where do you get glass rods i need a thin clear rod super cheap plz help
@123stringcheese I describe it in my earlier videos, but it is called Hardi-backer(found at Lowes and H-D 3×5 sheets about $8. It is essentially cement board used in tile applications. It is what floor tile is cemented to inside houses. Being cement board, it is a fireproof system. Word of caution though. When used as a work surface, it breaks down, and gets dusty. The dust is harmful if breathed in. I def. wear a respirator and spray it down with water, when I clean my bench.
is that paper free, fire proof drywall? with the foil tape on it?
Good point. the type of glass blowing I do is called Lampworking. It is done behind the high powered torch you see in this video which stands on top of my workbech. I use a kiln but the torch replaces the furnace( which you have seen elsewhere.
I will be posting a video soon describing some of the differences of the two glassblowing arenas. Subcribe to my channel if you would like to learn all about it.
Cool, I am interested in blowing glass. I remembered seeing something on tv where a guy was blowing into a glass tube and the other end was in some kind of furnace. I guess it can be easier than that! I’d like to see more videos!
The Mirage has an inner flame and an outer flame. The inner flame is the Lynx.
(for those who are just learning about GTT torches.)
