Glass Blowing -Inside Out

This video was created as a response to (youtube user) tigermonkeydragon’s request to see how I do some of my I/O work. I have been working inside-out for ten years now, and have leaned a thing or two along the way, that I felt would be a good to share with you all!

@suriVJD good point Suri. I use pretty much all sizes of tubing 16mm and up. I use med. and hvy wall, but I have never messed with standard wall tubing.

For every project I use a different size tube depending on the effect I want to achieve. Thanks for your input

love a-hole peoples, just slightly watching this, haven’t tried any yet myself, but a friend suggested to take away the step of opening the end up and just buy a bigger tub. Not sure the size that I have, but it’s huge already, then just close her up and your done.

just a suggestion if you haven’t tried it yet already

@syrKYLE The colors I used were Mystery Adv. and Green Leprechaun wrapped over white. The final picture you see is some of those lines, plus a background of mixed frit. When pulling the piece from the tube you need to use Ball grabbers or tongs, see Humming bird feeder demo.
I definitely remove the excess glob of glass before I punty. This gives me a very even and consistent point, and it also brings the colors together in a nice spiral pattern (if you twist while you remove).

Another great video, awesome. What Color did you use there? Also, do you punty up at the end to pull the piece from the tube? I was wondering if you do punty up, if its best to do before or after you remove the excess glass from the end of the re-closed point……
