How to clean an imitation “stained glass” lamp that looks held together with a pewter-colored solder?

…without harming either? The “glass” is cool to the touch, but doesn’t clink like glass when you flick it with your finger. Maybe it’s glass regardless? This is one of those Walmart imitations, the base looking darkly golden.

The glass is not really the concern…it’s the solder. Just in case the solder is real, clean it with glass cleaner that does not have ammonia in it as it can tarnish or discolor the solder. Usually the spray foaming types work pretty well. Spray a little on a cloth and wipe gently.

Use a glass cleaner. It will not harm the stained glass. Do not use harsh cleaners.

I have one like that. The directions came with it and said to NOT use window cleaners. Just plain water.
