every Christmas she gives clothes she get from there for Christmas presents. I wanted to see what some of you thought about that and some of you think it is alright but I don’t. I rather she not give me nothing or something out of her own closet instead. This year she gave me a shirt that had a stain on it and some used panties. She gave my daughter a shirt that the sleeves had been cut off. The wrapping paper looks better than the stuff she gives for Christmas. I think it is a insult.
Have you ever thought that maybe that is all that she is able to give. Receive the gifts graciously and then retire the clothes to the trash bin rather than embarrass her. It’s not the gift that counts, it’s the thought.
How is her financial situation? Maybe this is all she can afford. If so, take her gifts and then toss them when she’s not around.
either throw the stuff away, or tell she doesn’t have to give you anything.
