Flamenco-Jazz. Chema Vilchez with Jeff Ballard, Dominique di Piazza, Tino di Geraldo, Curro Piñana, Gyan Singh, Damian Erskine, Miguel Angel Orengo. Excerpt from “Land of Three Cultures” Chema Vilchez next album. Fragmento de “Tierra de las Tres Culturas”, próximo disco de Chema Vilchez. Land of Three Cultures is a mixture of differents styles ans musical languages: Jazz, flamenco and world music. Is a musical reflexion of an extraordinary an unique period of time in which christians, jewish and muslims lived together in peace. This invites to reflect on tolerance and multiculturality. In the same way this project joins differents artistic tendencies and musical languages, it also wants to represent hope in peace between different cultures, taking as a starting point this unique period of the history of Spain.

I attended the concert and masterclass that you gave in New Delhi some years back. It was truly an enriching experience, although I was only starting out with the guitar back then.

It was fantastic to hear you play, and just as great to get to talk to you. Hopefully we will meet again!

this is great …I wish I had a flamenco guitar same as yours,,,,I play flamenco on classical guitars because there r no flamenco guitars in our place and it sounds noisy all the time….great piece of music,,,…

awesome sound….this isn’t one of my favourite kind of music but i have to say that this is beautiful execution, compliments…however about the comment on paco de lucia I agree with landofthe3cultures….He ’s a genius!

@spiderxed . Dear friend, I use Raimundo Flamenco Midi Guitar (video) and Sanchis Carpio. Sanchis Carpio ones of the best guitars ever!!!!

Thanks for your comment man!!!! But I have to tell you that Paco de Lucia is a genius, the best flamenco guitar player ever. He is an inspiration for me and for all new generations of guitarists here in Spain. Anyway, I aprecciate your words, Chema Vilchez

  11. Sebastian1633 says:

Man That’s really Flamenco/Jazz. As opposed to what some Paco De Lucia-wanna-be do here, which is essentially playing rumbas along with a Jazz progression.

Qué envidia sana!!! (si es que se puede considerar sana la envidia… ). De vez en cuando conviene recordar que en España también se hacen cositas buenas. Un auténtico placer, maestro Vílchez, como siempre.
