I mean, catholics have it better in so many ways. One is marble and stained-glass windows. For the buck I put in the collection plate, I want production value. That means a *real* church, not just some community center that doubles as a basketball court.
Also, catholics have saints – more than 10,000 [...]

Is Confession of Sins a Biblical Practice?
Christians are to confess their sins to God—not men. Notice David’s example in Psalm 51. No man can forgive sins. Neither has any man other than Jesus Christ, our High Priest, been given the office of mediator between mankind and God. The apostle Paul was [...]

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION — Mary was preserved from all stain of original sin from the first instant of her conception. (“Catechism” 490-492).
In Luke 1:46-47, Mary said: “My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour”. Mary knew that she needed a savior.
The doctrine of the Immaculate Conception was first introduced [...]

Are there any liberal Protestant churches that look, sound, smell, and feel like a Catholic church?

I’m looking for a liberal church, so Catholicism it out of the question, but I like much about Catholicism like confession, the big beautiful churches, priests in vestments, altar in the center, incense, statues, icons, stained glass, Jesus being literally present in the Lord’s Supper, etc.
Are there any liberal Protestant churches (i.e. gay friendly, not [...]

The Church cannot teach error, because it was founded by Christ, God Himself. He sent forth His Apostles with full powers to preach His Gospel. He said. “As the Father has sent me, I also send you” (John 20:21). “I will ask the Father and he will give you another Advocate to dwell with you [...]

The Catholic churches I’m referring to have very high ceilings, stained glass windows, lots of artwork depicting Christ and the saints, different colored tiles on the floor that add visual texture, and other various artistic detail in the sanctuary. The Protestant (for example: Baptist, Methodist, Nazarene, Pentecostal, Church of Christ) churches I have visited are [...]

WIth the gold plated statues and stained glass? Does anyone else feel this money could be better spent elsewhere? Do you think god cares if you have 15 virgin mary statues plated with Gold and Marble?
Also I am not trying to say they do nothing for the poor, but do people really need to worship [...]
I saw stained glass in a Catholic church called “The coronation” and had a question about it …?

It appeared to be Jesus placing a crown on the head of a woman. Underneath the picture it said, “The Coronation”. Was this attempting to portray Him crowning Mary? If so, what was He crowning her?
I am confused.
Thanks!
