When The clergymen and parishioners of any church pray?

for this world, are they following Christ’s example?

Jesus Taught : what we are to pray for “Thy Kingdom come” Meaning to get rid of this worlds Kingdoms and all that is evil with them.

At 1 Peter 3:12 (NW) the apostle explains: “Jehovah’s eyes are upon the righteous and his ears are toward their supplication, but Jehovah’s face is against those doing injurious things.” The rulers of this world, together with the clergy who have blessed their wars, have stained their hands with blood. Yet with outstretched arms they continue to pray to God for his blessing on their armies and navies. Says Jehovah: “So, when you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many a prayer, I will not listen. Your hands are full of bloodshed.”—Isa. 1:15 AT.

What if all People who call them selves Christians started to follow in Jesus’ footsteps and actually listen to his voice and do what he commanded?

I see your point but I can’t see any harm in praying for the world to come to Christ because God wants all of His creation (man) to come to His saving grace.

There are many prayers we are to pray. He also said to pray for our leaders. ( like them or not)

Congratulations for a meaningful question, one that gives me hope there might be a few people who understand the Bible.

When, and this is the purpose of the Bible, there is only one authority, that being God Almighty, there will be only one who is capable of imposing His will on people. When there is no human being that is allowed to impose their will on another, there will be PEACE!

If they all did what Jesus commanded…People They strongly desire peace, and only when they are stirred up by hate propaganda do they want war. Proof of that is seen in the efforts of men to form peace treaties and compacts outlawing war. It is ostensibly one of the chief objectives of the United Nations, as can be seen from the inscription cut in a stone wall just across from the United Nations main building, and which reads: “They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.” Politicians promise peace in order to get elected. But in spite of their promises, their plans and their endeavors, because of bungling, greed and nationalism, and because Satan, the great peace-wrecker, is the god of this system of things, war keeps plaguing humankind.

  5. Fisherman says:

Matthew 15:5 to 11. And so YOU have made the word of God invalid because of YOUR tradition. 7 YOU hypocrites, Isaiah aptly prophesied about YOU, when he said, 8 ‘This people honors me with their lips, yet their heart is far removed from me. 9 It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, because they teach commands of men as doctrines.’” 10 With that he called the crowd near and said to them: “Listen and get the sense of it: 11 Not what enters into [his] mouth defiles a man; but it is what proceeds out of [his] mouth that defiles a man.”

Here Jesus himself told us that not all prayers are accepted by God.

Those who teach false doctrines pray in vain. They are not praying “In Spirit and truth”
So their prayers are in vain.
